Heskett Middle School – Spray Foam Roof Restoration Over 104,000 sq ft

When the 20-year-old built-up roof at Heskett Middle School in Bedford Heights, Ohio began leaking, the school district faced a costly and time-sensitive problem. West Roofing Systems completed the 104,000 sq ft restoration in just 37 days — saving an estimated $1M over a full replacement.

The Challenge

A 104,000 sq ft aging built-up roof with active leaks, a tight summer schedule before school resumed, and a budget constraint that made full replacement impractical.

The Solution

West Roofing applied spray polyurethane foam over the existing built-up roof, then finished with a silicone coating. The entire project was completed in 37 days during summer break, well before students returned.

Results

The school district saved approximately $1M compared to a full tear-off replacement, received a new manufacturer's warranty, and had zero disruption to the school year. The foam also added significant insulation value, improving energy efficiency.
